Traveling With Little Ones??

Traveling with little ones can be challenging.  Riding for hours in the car, sleeping in a different place, a different schedule, and naps are completely messed up!  I wanted to give you some tips if you are bringing along your precious little ones to Kerrville.  Conferences can seem long for the little people.  While the parents are soaking up all the wonderful words of wisdom from the speakers the young children can be understandably tired and cranky.  Here are some tips to hopefully help you (and your children) enjoy the conference to its fullest.DSCN0580

  1. Remember that they are little and give them grace.
  2. Bring a stroller.  Take a walk in the Conference Center Lobby which will have tables stocked with books and information from our speakers. Take a walk around the grounds of the hotel.
  3. Bring snacks.  Their tummies are smaller and need re-fueling more often. Food is not allowed in the conference center but there are a couple of hospitality rooms in which you can bring  in your picnic lunch or snacks in air conditioning.
  4. Take turns with your spouse or older children in the talks while the other takes the little ones for walks or snacks.
  5. Bring  a “to-do” bag with colors, books, and quiet toys for them to sit with you while you are in the speaker sessions.
  6. Take a break and take them swimming.  The Inn of the Hills has a large outdoor swimming pool.
  7.  Take a break and go to the bowling alley next door at the Family SportsCenter.  Check with the hotel to get discount passes for bowling.
  8. If you do miss some talks, most speaker sessions will be recorded and available for purchase at the conference.
  9. Stay at the Inn of the Hills Hotel so you will have convenient access to your hotel room for naps and snacks.
  10.  Relax, enjoy the fellowship and meeting other families!!

We hope to see you and your little precious blessings at the conference!!

Blessings,
