Have you ever considered how God has been good to you? Do you think of the ways that God has been kind to you, patient with you, gracious and merciful to you? Do you meditate on the idea that God’s love poured out to you is an active manifestation of His goodness?
Psalm 31:19 tells us “Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You”. What a beautiful reminder that the LORD has stored up abundant goodness for us.
But the goodness of God is not just based on what He does, but also on who He is.
God alone is good. The goodness of God is the out-flowing of God’s nature. He is originally good, supremely good, perfectly good. He is good in and of Himself.
Now matter where you find yourself in this life, or what trials or tribulations you face, thinking on the goodness of God can be an anchor to your soul.
Come and join us at the 2022 FORGE Family Conference on “The Goodness of God”. We will search to see what the Scriptures have to say about God being good and how He is good in all His doings. We can then be like the psalmist and say, “You are good, and do good; teach me your statutes.”
